-Students meet in small groups of three.
-Lessons for students age 8 and over are 2 hours.
-Lessons for students 7 and under are 1.5 hours.
-Sewing and fabric supplies available for levels 1 and 2.
Lesson Descriptions
Level 1: Beginner Sewing Lessons
Age 8-14

For students with little to no sewing experience.

Students aged 8-14 learn how to operate a sewing machine to make a project. Throughout the course, students learn how to measure with a ruler, read a simple pattern, and how to pin and cut fabric.

Cost includes the monthly fee for sewing lessons and level 1 sewing supplies.

Level 2: Experienced Beginner Sewing Lessons
Age 8-14

Students learn to read a measuring tape and take basic measurements. They use a sewing pattern to make a garment or other level two project.

They sew and complete projects at their own pace.

Cost includes the monthly fee for sewing lessons, fabric, and supplies.

Level 3: Skills builder
Age 8-14

Students choose their projects and stretch their skills. Learn to sew zippers, pockets, and other advanced techniques.

Beginner Sewing Lessons

Students are introduced to the sewing machine and beginner-level hand stitching. Lessons include learning sewing machine safety and an introduction to cutting fabric.

Project options include a machine-stitched stuffed pillow or a hand-stitched felt project.

The cost includes level 1 sewing supplies.

Experienced Beginner Sewing Lessons
Age 6-7

Students continue learning with the sewing machine. Lessons include sewing machine safety, reading a simple pattern, and cutting and pinning fabric.

Creative Kids Course
Summer Session

A maximum of 3 in each class. This class meets once per week. Call for schedule. 310-918-1279
This course is an extension of the popular Sew Into It Creative Camp. Kids explore creativity and innovation through fashion and art. Activities include fashion upcycling, fabric dying, water marbling, hand embroidery, and more! Each week students learn practical ways to use their creativity to make a positive difference.

Weekday lessons are available from 10 AM- 12 PM and 1-3 PM. Homeschool and charter funds may be used for all classes.
Students ages 6- 14 are welcome.Lessons are offered in groups of up to 3 students. Students are grouped by age and skill level.

FAQs
What’s the difference between private and group lessons?
Private lessons are taught 1:1 with the student and the teacher. A group lesson or class has up to 3 students in attendance. Private group lessons include "Mom and me", sibling, and groups of freinds. Group classes are specific classes where up 3 students are enrolled. Group classes are available for homeschool students, adult beginnner sewing students, adult alteration students, fashion program and college students, kids lessons, and more.
I have no sewing experience. Can I still join?
Yes. My signature Beginner Sewing Lesson series is designed for sewing newbies. Check out the Beginner Sewing Lessons here.
Can I bring my own machine or do I have to yours?
You can bring your own machine. It is best for students to learn with their personal sewing machine.
I don't have a sewing machine. Do you have machines I can use?
Yes. There are sewing machines for students in the sewing room.
What is a good sewing machine for beginners?
I suggest the Brother LX3817. Learn more about that machine here.
Do I need to bring sewing supplies?
No, unless you want to. Basic sewing supplies and fabrics are included with lessons.
Do you teach adults?
Yes.
I cannot make it to the upcoming class. Do you teach private lessons?
